2. Prescribed Administration Guidelines
- Take once daily in the morning with or without food.
- Avoid afternoon or evening dosing to prevent severe night-time insomnia.
- Does not replace CPAP therapy in obstructive sleep apnea.
- Use alternative non-hormonal contraception during and for 1 month after therapy.
Modafinil has been associated with severe, potentially fatal dermatological reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). Discontinue immediately at the first sign of rash, skin peeling, or mouth sores.
